UK Mirror class dinghy association

UK Mirror class dinghy association - (MCA) this is the official website - the Mirror is the classic family sailing dinghy, ideal for both cruising and racing. Many have started their sailing careers in the Mirror, first sailing with their parents then with other juniors. Some have gone onto be dinghy champions and even win Olympic medals.

MCA organises a comprehensive programme of training and racing for all abilities, and ages. For youngsters with aspirations to race at the highest level, the Mirror is a recognised RYA Junior Training Class.

National Solo Dinghy

National Solo Dinghy is a classic, one-design, single handed dinghy. Designed by Jack Holt in 1956, the Solo remains a popular dinghy, sailed at many clubs in the UK, Holland and Australia.

Originally designed in wood, competitive boats are now widely available in Fibre ReinforcedPlastic (FRP) or composite construction (FRP hull and wood deck) as well as wood.

Dinghy Cruising Association

The Dinghy Cruising Association is dedicated to the art and science of dinghy cruising - using a small boat under sail or power to explore the backwaters, cross seas and oceans, camp in splendid isolation or with others, cruise at leisure or make fast passage.

In its website you'll find people to talk to, information to help you cruise and stories to stimulate the sailor in you, whether it be for the family picnic or the nightime passage to another place. Novice or expert, you are welcome. The Dinghy Cruising Association is UK based but welcomes members from overseas who wish to have contact with like minded sailors and avail themselves of the combined expertise of the association.

UK Wayfarer Association

The UK Wayfarer Association has a comprehensive website covering all aspects of wayfarer dinghy sailing.

The Wayfarer dinghy was designed by Ian Proctor in 1957 and has since acquired an unrivalled reputation as a tough and seaworthy cruising dinghy, yet at the same time being responsive and rewarding to race.
